How do I get started slot car racing?

Come on down and watch a race. If the track is open, anyone can come in and watch. Next, look into renting a car and a controller and trying it out. Most people enjoy building their own cars, but we do sell cars that are ready-to-race at our sales counter, which is available anytime the track is open. The staff at Bullitt Speedway is here to assist you building your first car or purchasing your first car.

How old do I have to be to race?

You must be at least seven years old and have parent supervision to drive, but you must be elevan years old to compete in points and series races or any other sanctioned event.

Can we eat at the track?

Yes, Bullitt Speedway has vending machines, and we sell chips and snacks of all types at the counter. We often order out between races!

Can we smoke at the track?

No, Bullitt Speedway is a family-friendly facility, smoking is prohibited. 

What is breakout?

Breakout is the maximum number of seconds to run a lap in a race. For instance, if the breakout is 9.8 seconds, anyone that runs in a lap in a time less than or equal to 9.8 seconds will be penalized one lap.
